Rosalia

Rosalia Vila known as Rosalia is an Spanish flamenco and pop artist. Involved in the margins of traditional and popular music since she was a teenager, she is also involved in other genres such as the hip hop soul genre and trap. Pepe Haichuela, a flamenco guitar and well-known musician, has described the sound of this young artist as sassy and sweet and grit. El Mal Querer was her major commercial and critical breakthrough in the year 2018. The single Los Angeles garnered her attention as well as a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist and it was a top hit on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums and she won the Grammy. The hit single La Fama featuring the Weeknd appeared in 2021. Motomami, her third album included songwriting collaborations with Cory Henry and James Blake. The album was released on the 20th of March, 2022 following the performance by Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia did her solo performance on the show for the very first time ever on the show. Motomami was the only woman ever to be the recipient of the Latin Album of the Year twice, as well as the three Latin Grammy Awards.
