Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig, September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Born in Worthington Ohio, she dropped out of high school to move in Los Angeles with her mother when her parents separated. The actress landed her first part, as Rachel's Room's main character in 2001 despite struggling financially. In 2002, she was nominated for an Young Artist Award with her character as a 15 year old murdered Martha Moxley. In 2004, Grace was selected to portray Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost in which she was a main actor for the first two seasons winning a Screen Actors Guild Award shared by the entire cast. Grace left the television series in 2005 to pursue an even more prominent role in films, having appeared alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken.
